About Lisa Blakely
Ms. Lisa Blakely is a playwright, director, producer, and pageant winner who encourages her community through her pen. Lisa started at an early age writing plays for the youth and young adults at her church. A graduate of Grambling State University, with a degree in Marketing, she was a participant in several pageants. Pageantry was the vehicle that created a passionate speaker, as Lisa has spoken to numerous churches and youth groups across the state. Her message is always positive, as she strives to empower and motivate others to use their God given talents.
Through her church drama ministry, Lisa was able to fulfill her writing desires. The community response was overwhelming with her theatrical pieces, that she began taking them to the community to touch a larger audience and introduce God to those in need. A portion of the proceeds from those plays benefited the local YWCA and the Shreveport/Bossier Rescue Mission. Lisa’s plays are called “inspirational crowd pleasers” by theater lovers.
Lisa stands by Romans 8:28 “all things work together for the good to them that love God and to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Lisa’s goal was to start Lisa Blakely Productions of help others through her writing, give back to the community, and have a lasting impact on our young girls. So far, with the help of her family and friends, she is accomplishing her goal, and looks forward to what God has in store for her future.

Lisa Blakely Productions has been providing entertainment through her writings for over 15 years. Performing for churches and community events throughout Louisiana and Texas, Lisa’s gospel state plays are a hit for every generation. Our plays extend to Black History, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Gospel and Religious musicals.

Lisa Blakely Productions presents scholarship pageants throughout the year, allowing young girls to compete for a chance to win scholarship funds to aid in their educational goals.
As a previous pageant winner, Miss GSU Freshman, Miss Black and Gold, Miss Grambling Cover Girl, and Miss Black Louisiana, Lisa is available for pageant consulting.
